Working safely with accreditation and compliance
We Implement a strong safety culture within our company that contributes to better safety for our clients, the company and other road users.
We comply fully with recommended fatigue management requirements of The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and implement measures such as realistic schedules to minimise driver fatigue.
Our Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation gives us the opportunity to operate under more flexible work and rest hours, allowing for (among other things) work of up to 14 hours in a 24-hour period. BFM gives operators some flexibility when drivers can work and rest, as long as the risks of driver fatigue are properly managed.
Thomas' Interstate is also accredited for Mass Management allowing its vehicles to operate on the road network with additional mass concessions.
